When was the last time you ran towards pigeons?

When was the last time you ran towards pigeons, just the way you used to do when you were a kid?

Very recently, I got my friends to play Dark Room. It was a dreadful and difficult task because most were like, “Ab bade ho gaye hai, yeh sab kya khelenge.” But because of my awesome persuasion skills, I was able to convince all of them to play the game. But the above sentence also made me think:

As we grow older, we start to put ourselves in this cocoon of maturity. Maturity, that kills the child underneath. And all those things that we used to do as kids, like running towards the pigeons to make them fly, kissing our parents on their cheek before leaving the house, having gola at the street corner, or playing games like Hide & Seek or Dark Room, and the list goes on and on, we now think that, “Ab toh hum bade ho gaye yeh sab karne ke liye.” And I personally dread that thought because I never want the child in me to go away anywhere.

There's one of my favourite Youtube video called 'Khat' in which a grandfather is writing a beautiful letter of advice for life to his new born grandson in which he says the following, "Bass shareer se hi bade hona, mann se nahi. Jis din andar se yeh bachpana gaya, yeh masomiyat gayi, yeh samjho ki zindagi gayi." So, whenever any of your friends tell you for whatever it is, Ki yeh karne ke liye ab toh hum bade ho gaye, you know what to say. Also, tag someone who constantly says things like these when you give them your ideas. 📷 @sukanta_pal
